In 2014, I visited my dad’s homeland for the first time. Before I left, he walked me through his childhood on Google Earth. Being there made climate change feel much closer: these were places my family came from, with histories we could lose. That stays with me.
I started in clean energy in 2007, in sales, with very little idea of what I was doing. At IPS Solar I learned to pull together projects, navigate setbacks, and keep showing up. There were lucky breaks, generous mentors, and plenty of moments when I wondered whether any of it would work.
I don’t buy the idea that anyone is entirely self-made. My grandparents, colleagues, and early clients helped me find my footing. CleanWave is one way I’ve tried to return the favor. Enterprise Energy is where I’m putting those lessons to work now.
